Transcription: Clearly, there's no way to learn about the Civil War better than through reading. Personally, I think that the best thing is to begin with a good general knowledge of the war, expand that to a knowledge of some of the great battles and the campaigns and certainly the issues that were involved, but then to begin to focus on the words and the writings of the actual soldiers, of the actual people, men and women of that time.
